Rejoice Pens fans, tonight's 9-2 punishing victory over the New York Islanders should be the momentum builder we've been looking for after 3 consecutive losses.

This is the seventh time in Penguins history that two players have recorded a hat trick in a single game, tonights were recorded by Pascal Dupuis who pick up the first of his career and Petr Sykora who has finally put an end to the NHL record for most games (38) with two goals and no hat trick. The previous record was held by Penguins Hall of Fame defenseman Larry Murphy with 28. Crosby picked up 3 assists, Malkin had up a goal and an assist, Satan and Boucher grabbed a goal a piece.
